2018 CONFERENCE 

2018 sees the launch of our first annual conference. The action packed programme will include times of worship, keynote talks, practical workshops and seminars as well as the chance to network with other ministry leaders and workers. You can find information about the sessions below.

After a time of worship James will speak to us. He will share the vision and mission of CherishEd.. and will explore some key principles of children's ministry gained from his experience. James is co-founder of Cherish-Ed. with his wife Amy and acts a Managing Director in a voluntary capacity. He is also a Principal Lecturer in Primary Education.

The Hello Firefly Team will be  looking at how to encourage children to hang out with, learn about, and shine brightly for God.

Creative Discipleship 

Simone Vertegaal will will look at the reinvention of Sunday School. Drawing on her experience in leading children's ministry in a number of churches Simone will share her story and provide insight into how to develop Sunday provision that has impact.

Drawing on her knowledge and research into the Government's Prevent Agenda Esther Cummins will explore the implications for children's ministry as well as providing insight in to how to support children as disciples of Christ.

Wouter Vertegaal will be taking a seminar that will look at kids discipleship groups. He will explore a model developed at his church which seeks to support children in going deeper in their relationship with God.   

Kids Discipleship 

In this Session James Archer will explore the role of talk and play in children's ministry. He will provide practical examples of the ways these two important features can be developed in children's ministry

In this session Esther Cummins will be exploring current developments in sex and relationship education policy and will consider what the implications may be for children's ministry
